About coach c
Dr. Jason Covarrubias, or Coach C as he’s commonly known, is a retired collegiate track and cross-country coach. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020. As people around the world were forced to stay at home, Coach C found himself with some extra time on his hands. Little did he know that this time would lead him on a journey that he never could have predicted. For his birthday that year, Coach C’s wife purchased him a home coffee roaster. At first, he was unsure about what to do with it, but after a few failed attempts, he started to get the hang of it. He began to experiment with different types of coffee beans from around the world, but he found himself drawn to the rich, complex flavors of Costa Rican beans. After hundreds of cups of coffee and countless hours of research and experimentation, Coach C finally found the perfect roast for his beloved Costa Rican beans. He called it “Vamos Ticos,” which means “Let’s go, Costa Ricans!” in Spanish. The name was a nod to his love for the country and its people, and the energy and excitement that he felt every time he took a sip of his coffee. As he shared his coffee with family and friends, they all raved about the unique, delicious flavor. Soon, people were asking him to roast coffee for them, and Coach C found himself with a growing business on his hands.
He started to sell his coffee online, and before he knew it, he had customers all over the world. In 2023, Coach C Roasts became an official business. Coach C was excited to share his passion for coffee with the world, and he poured his heart and soul into every batch of Vamos Ticos that he roasted. He worked hard to create a brand that was both high-quality and socially responsible, sourcing his beans from sustainable farms and giving back to the communities that grew them. Today, Coach C Roasts is a thriving business with a loyal following of coffee lovers around the world. Coach C is grateful for the unexpected journey that led him to start his coffee roasting business, and he looks forward to seeing where it takes him next.

Swiss Water Process is considered one of the healthiest decaf coffee options as it’s natural, organic, and chemical-free. This process doesn’t involve adding any chemicals to the beans and retains most of the flavors of the original beans. It also has many of the rich antioxidants of regular coffee, which can help lower the risk for illnesses like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. To find the best Swiss Water Process, you should look for the official SWP logo, which can be found on Coach C Roasts’ Sem Chumbo!
It’s amazing how the flavor of Tanzanian coffee beans varies depending on the roasting level. When roasted to a dark level, Coach C Roasts’ Kuwa Jasiri has a prominent berry flavor with a hint of black pepper. The consistency in flavor makes Tanzanian coffee stand out, with its bright and citric acidity adding a unique twist to its flavor profile.
